Hello again, I've been working on a schedule for the first few weeks. It was super easy - and completely free - to do using this site:
When you first see my scehdule please don't panic (or run off screaming!), it's not set in stone. This will be our first full week of home schooling so we're learning, too.
I have a little boy who suffers from stress and anxitety. He likes to have a plan in place so he knows what he's doing daily. This will be super flexible and changeable, though.
I've allowed my boys to put their own input into what we do and when, to help them feel involved and excited about the week ahead. If they find it too much, or want to change things around, they are free to do so.
This won't work for everyone, and you may want to look into doing things differently. I just want to show you how we're breaking up the week and the activities we plan to do.
I also want to make sure you know where we have 'educational things' we won't always be sitting with text books, we may be playing games, building Lego, or baking (exploring life skills etc.). Hopefully this will make it seem less like constant work - I want to make this as fun as possible!
I've ended our day with a daily yoga session which is available on YouTube to help my three boys to unwind and relax after their homeschooling day comes to an end.
This is going to be a very unsettling time for a lot of children. My absolute priority is to make sure my boys' well-being and mental health don't suffer.
Parents, please don't stress either, we're all in this together and we're all different, so what works for one won't necessarily work for another. We shouldn't put additional stress on ourselves at this difficult time by trying to fill every minute of the day. Doing nothing is OK, too!
And if all else fails, Disney+ launches on Monday 23nd March! :-)
