Mum of three boys 29/02/2020 Sickness Bug!

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

Well today has not started off the best, two out of the 5 in the house have gone down with the dreaded sickness bug! Ezra, my youngest, was the first to welcome it on Wednesday evening and what a joy that was, apart from no sleep and it being my Husband's birthday - oops. Not the best birthday surprise! The sheets are now soaking in vanish gold.

My advise to you is don't cook curry before a pending household sickness disaster!

So now fast forward to Saturday and we are all now ticking time bombs. I'm sat here in fear wondering if my time will be up soon - gulp. But for now fingers and toes crossed I'm one of the last people standing! My middle man Griffin and my hubby Samuel have both been struck down today, it all started at 5am when the familiar sound of wrenching started and the words "Mummy I've been sick can you help me" (This exactly what every Mum wants to wake up to in the morning, NOT!)

Well after another clear up and a bathroom soaked in bleach and disinfectant, and lots of back rubs, and "it will be oks" with my brain thinking I love you but your infected and I'm touching you - this is not going to end well!

Roll on the morning at 10am when Hubby wakes up and exclaims, "I feel sick! Excuse me, I need the toilet", and yes you guessed it that lovely sound of wretching starts all over again, by this time Griffin has finally stopped! All I can think about is how totally screwed I am, I slept next to that puking man in the toilet last night! At this point its not a matter of IF its a matter of WHEN! "Please send me help!".

It's now 11.30am and I'm too scared to eat or drink in the hope that if there's nothing in my stomach I can't get it. LALALALA, don't tell me otherwise I'm in complete denial.

I've also realised there is no bleach left so the bathroom is going to have be sealed off until at least tomorrow when we can get to the shops ( I don't drive so having the hubby down has ruined the weekend plans of shopping and hair cuts (yes that is as exciting as my weekend gets).

The Husband is now asleep on the couch. Woohoo peace at last - shhhhh don't tell him that.

Griffin is feeling better and kept down some water and is currently watching a film with Ezra and my eldest Jasper is hiding from us all and building his lego star destroyer in his room, which is probably a good move, seeing we are the last two left, wish us luck and for a bit of fun. Because let's face it, we need some. Who do you think will be next? Right I'm logging off my third load of washing today has finished and is ready to hang up the joys of this parenting malarkey and all that, here's to another few hours sickness free.
